Susan Tamowski Pottery

I made my first pot about 40 years ago and have been doing pottery on and off ever since.  I love the many steps it takes to create a piece, the feel of the clay, the intense focus in shaping the clay, the various phases the clay goes through throughout the process, the precision, yet never knowing until the glaze kiln opens what the results will be, but hopefully ending up with a beautiful pot.

My pottery includes functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, berry bowls, batter bowls, tumblers, shot glasses as well as more unique pieces such as chip-n-dips, platters, planters.  Some work is inspired by the local petroglyph panels and Anasazi art of the southwest.

All pottery is glazed and fired to cone 10 so is dishwasher and microwave safe.

We have lived in Teasdale part time for the last four years.  We love the Capitol Reef area and love the local people and the environment.
